IT that knows your trade.
Every sector has its own systems, rules and busy times. Here's what matters in the trades we work with most, and how we help.
Find your sector.
From the showroom to the shop floor, we've seen the IT that each trade relies on and the problems that come with it.
IT for motor trade.
Dealerships and garages run on their dealer management system, showroom PCs and the phones. When finance is involved, the FCA expects customer data to be handled carefully.
What matters
- Dealer systems, showroom and workshop PCs kept running and up to date
- Customer and finance data protected, with access limited to the right people
- Phones that route sales and service calls to the right desk
- Reliable internet across the showroom, workshop and forecourt
IT for dental & healthcare.
Practices depend on their practice management software, imaging PCs and patient records. Practices with NHS contracts also complete the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit each year.
What matters
- Practice management and imaging PCs that don't let you down mid-clinic
- Patient data secured and backed up, in line with UK GDPR
- Help with the evidence the Data Security and Protection Toolkit asks for
- Phones that cope with the morning rush for appointments
IT for professional services.
Accountants, solicitors, surveyors and agents hold confidential client information and live in email. Clients, insurers and regulators increasingly expect proof that it's protected.
What matters
- Secure email, with protection against invoice fraud and phishing
- Client files that are safe, backed up and reachable from anywhere
- Accounts software available to the whole team, in the office or at home
- Cyber Essentials to show clients and insurers you take security seriously
IT for manufacturing.
On the shop floor, downtime costs real money. Production PCs, design files and stock systems all need to keep going, and bigger customers often ask suppliers for Cyber Essentials.
What matters
- Production and office PCs patched out of hours, around your shifts
- Design files and business systems backed up off-site
- Office and production networks kept apart, so one problem doesn't stop both
- Cyber Essentials or Plus when a customer's supply chain asks for it
IT for travel & hospitality.
Guests expect good WiFi, card payments have to work first time, and staff numbers change with the seasons. Many sites are rural, where broadband can't be taken for granted.
What matters
- Guest WiFi kept separate from your business network
- Reliable connections for card machines and tills, with a backup line
- Starlink or a leased line where ordinary broadband won't do
- Staff accounts and devices added and removed as the season changes
IT for construction.
Builders and trades work from site offices, vans and home as much as the yard. Main contractors and public-sector frameworks often ask for Cyber Essentials before you can tender.
What matters
- Laptops, tablets and phones that work wherever the team is
- Internet for temporary site offices, by 4G or Starlink
- Drawings and documents shared securely between office and site
- Cyber Essentials for tenders and main-contractor approval
IT for charities & education.
Charities and schools look after personal data, often about vulnerable people, on tight budgets. Eligible charities can get Microsoft 365 at nonprofit rates, which goes a long way.
What matters
- Personal data protected and handled in line with UK GDPR
- Microsoft 365 set up properly, using nonprofit pricing where you're eligible
- Volunteers and staff given the right access, and removed when they leave
- Sensible costs, with prices on the website and itemised quotes
Sectors, answered.
Do you only work with these sectors?+
No. These are the trades we see most, but we look after businesses of all kinds across Norfolk and East Anglia. If yours isn't listed, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether we're a good fit.
Do you know our industry software?+
We support the PCs, servers, networks and Microsoft 365 your software runs on, and we work alongside your software supplier when something needs their input, so you're not stuck in the middle.
Can you help us meet our sector’s compliance requirements?+
We look after the IT side: security, backups, access control and the evidence that goes with them. As an IASME certification body we can also certify you for Cyber Essentials, which many sectors now ask for.
Tell us about your business.
What you do, how many people and sites, and what's getting in the way. We'll come back the same working day.
